Ace Attorney was one of my first VNs and the one that got me into mystery VNs (aka, one of my favorite things in the world!) This game means a lot to me and it has inspired me so much these past years... I truly don't know what I'd be doing now if I hadn't played Ace Attorney 1 back in 2020, everything in my life changed so much since I decided to play this trilogy for the first time!!

Call me basic but... It's the main trio LOL,,, They were what made me fall in love with Ace Attorney and they were the ones that trapped me in the fandom forever! I couldn't believe how attached I was to a lawyer, a prosecutor and a spirit medium when I first became a fan LOLLL
I find Phoenix very relatable, Maya's storyline is sooo interesting, and I loves Miles' character development. The only characters ever. Tbh.

AA1 is probably one of my favorite games in the franchise and honestly, I would say it's so, so underrated... When you really think about it, it works so well as a standalone game, but it's also a very good introduction to the saga! I love all the mechanics and how simple the story is while also making you feel attached to the characters. I think something very important about early ace attorney (and something that makes the trilogy games in the franchise) is how you don't need a big, complicated story to make you care!! The cases in this game are small and simple but still really good and fun to play.
I first played this game back in august 2020 (woah... time flies), now I'm in the middle of replaying it! I will add more rambling here when I'm done with my replay...

I probably have the most basic opinions ever but... here it goes
A classic, and a big one for those who ship narumitsu lol... This case does many things well and it's probably one of my favorites in the entire franchise I don't know what it's about its setting and atmosphere that makes it a very special case... you can feel how much serious the game gets the moment you get to this case (not like it wasn't serious after turnabout sisters but...iykyk) There's almost a melancholic feel to this one that I can't describe, I love love love playing this case. I don't know what else to say other than it is just so goddamn good.
The case that changes it all, the big plot twist that makes you realize that you're about to experience an amazing game where anything can happen! Also, the first time we meet Maya, and you know I loveee Maya! This case is really, really good and it has big emotional moments very early on. I think it's one of those early cases that introduces the characters so well it makes you instantly like them and care about the things that happen to them. The writing is THAT good, i swear.
I know this one isn't that popular but cmon, it's so fun. It's a very good filler case that lets us get to know the characters better, including the mysterious prosecutor Edgeworth... Nobody can make me hate this case, it's super fun to play and it has very funny dialogues! Also the side characters aren't very popular but I think they're really good too!
Our first introduction to Ace Attorney... I think this case is a really good introduction, personally i was hooked from the beginning! But looking back, it's not a very interesting case. I really love the way it introduces Larry LOL
